Do you remember back when you did exams at school, and you had to wait forever to finally get those results? And then the huge wait makes the results that much more satisfying – or dreadful!

Well, we don’t do exams anymore, but we do have to wait a while to crunch the numbers and announce how many school meals we provide each month…

And September was one crazy month we’re particularly proud of.

And for all those who donated, you helped too – so you should celebrate with us!

More Meals Delivered, Fewer Stomachs Empty

September is a big month for schools around the world.

Thanks to your donations, children in disadvantaged areas have flooded into school, feeling like they’re actually able to get an education. In fact, in September we delivered the highest number of schools in all of 2022.

How many meals did we deliver? Drumroll please…

494,649!

That’s enough to feed a meal to everyone in Bristol; enough to fill Old Trafford stadium 6 times over – and then half again!

That’s nearly half a million meals to allow thousands of children to attend school. This helps them stay off the streets, keeps them healthy and gives them the education they need to advance in life.

So Where Exactly Did These Tasty Meals Go?

Let’s get into the nitty gritty…

We delivered 494,649 school meals in September, averaging nearly 22,500 meals each school day. But how many meals were delivered to each country?

· Yemen received 110,839 meals

· Pakistan got 76,104 meals, spread across Thar and Karachi

· Bangladesh enjoyed 108,474 meals in Cox’s Bazaar, Dakka and Sylhet

· Sudan received 81,120 meals

And we donated school meals across Malawi, Turkey and Afghanistan as well!

We can’t even begin to describe the difference these school meals make. It gives disadvantaged children a chance for an education – an opportunity they wouldn’t have otherwise.

So, pat yourselves on the back – you’ve broken a record!

Now how many more records can you help us break?
