Here we have it

1. Introduction and Acceptance
Welcome to Charity Right ("we", "us"). These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and services. By accessing or using this website, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1.2 Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The current version will always be available on this page. We encourage you to review these terms periodically. Continued use of our website after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

2. Donations and Fundraising
2.1 Making a Donation

When you make a donation to Charity Right, you are making a voluntary gift to support our charitable work. Donations are processed securely through our payment processor, and you will receive confirmation by email within 24 hours.
All donations support our charitable purposes as outlined in our governing documents.

2.2 Gift Aid
If you are a UK taxpayer, we can claim Gift Aid on your donation, adding an extra 25p for every £1 you give at no cost to you.
Important Tax Information:
To make a Gift Aid declaration, you must have paid Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax in the relevant tax year equal to or exceeding the tax we will reclaim on your donations. For example, if you donate £100 and we claim Gift Aid, we reclaim £25 in tax from HMRC. You must have paid at least £25 in Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax that year. If you pay less tax than the amount we claim, you are responsible for paying the difference to HMRC.
How Gift Aid Declarations Work:
Your Gift Aid declaration will cover this donation and any future donations you make until you notify us otherwise. You can cancel your Gift Aid declaration at any time by contacting us at info@charityright.org.uk. If your tax circumstances change and you no longer pay sufficient UK tax, you must inform us immediately.
We maintain records of Gift Aid declarations for six years from the end of the relevant accounting period as required by HMRC. Your name and home address (including full postcode) are required for all Gift Aid declarations.

2.3 Use of Donations
Unrestricted Donations: General donations are used to support our charitable activities at the discretion of our trustees, in line with our charitable purposes.
Restricted Donations: For donations made to specific appeals or projects, we will use your gift only for the stated purpose. If an appeal raises more than the target amount, or insufficient funds to complete the stated project, surplus or remaining funds will be used for our general charitable work.
Our most recent annual accounts showing how all donations are used are available on the Charities Commission website.

2.4 Refund Policy
Under UK charity law, donations are generally non-refundable once given. We can only provide refunds in exceptional circumstances:
Processing errors (incorrect amount charged, duplicate payments)
Technical errors on our website or payment system
Direct debit errors (refunded immediately and in full as required by the Direct Debit Guarantee)
Where you correctly exercise a legal right to refund
Where required by law
If you believe an error has occurred, please contact us within 14 days at info@charityright.org.uk or 0300 365 6555. All refund requests will be considered by our trustees on a case-by-case basis and decided within 28 days.
We must refuse or return donations from illegal sources, from donors lacking mental capacity, or where accepting would bring unacceptable reputational risk to the charity.

3. Regular Giving
3.1 Direct Debit Donations

You can set up a regular monthly donation by direct debit. Direct debits are protected by the Direct Debit Guarantee.

Your Rights:
You can cancel your regular donation at any time by contacting us at info@charityright.org.uk or 0300 365 6555 or through your bank
We will notify you in advance of any changes to payment amounts or collection dates
Any errors in payment amount or frequency will be refunded immediately and in full
Your donation will continue indefinitely until you cancel
Your Gift Aid declaration (if made) covers all future donations until you cancel it. If you stop paying sufficient UK tax, you must inform us.

3.2 Standing Orders
Standing orders are set up and controlled through your bank. To cancel a standing order, contact your bank directly. We request that you also notify us of cancellations at info@charityright.org.uk for our records, but this is not required.

3.3 Age Restrictions
We do not accept regular donations from anyone aged under 18, in accordance with fundraising best practice and safeguarding principles.
