We’ve all been there… it’s December, you’re out with friends, conversation is flowing, then out of nowhere, someone asks you, ‘So, what are your New Year’s resolutions?’
And your mind goes blank. What do you say? Read more books, learn a language, eat healthier?
Why not start the New Year positively by getting fit and raising money for charity at the same time?
Join Charity Right and together we’ll Step Over Hunger!
It All Starts with a Single Step
It’s a simple one, really – raise money for school meals while getting those steps in throughout January.
And the best thing?
We don’t set the target step count… you do! So, no matter your fitness level, how much time you have, or how many steps you do – you can make Step Over Hunger work for you.
You can even walk and take part however you want: individually or as a group; in your garden or local park – it’s entirely up to you!
When to Make a Move
We all have busy lives to lead, but this isn’t a challenge that will get in the way.
Although Step Over Hunger takes place throughout January, it doesn’t have to be a month-long commitment. We simply ask that you do what you can; whether it’s for a few days, just on the weekends, or for the whole month.
There isn’t a specific time you need to get walking either. Whether you walk before work, on your lunch break, or in the evenings – it’s your choice.
Step Up the Fundraising Target
Step Over Hunger is all for charity, so there’s a fundraising target… but good news – it’s one with no registration fees so anyone can take part.
The fundraising target is £150 per person. But if you want to raise more, go for it – we won’t say no.
Even though it’s a seemingly low target, it has a huge impact. That £150 will feed a disadvantaged child school meals for a WHOLE year, giving them 12 months of health and a valuable education.
Step Up to the Mark
So, what are you waiting for? Start fundraising, polish your walking shoes and get ready.
Make sure to sign up before New Year comes around and share this with your friends, family and everyone you know.
