Each year, as the blessed days of Dhul Hijjah approach, Muslims around the world prepare to honour the legacy of Prophet Ibrahim (pbuh) by performing the sacred act of Qurbani. For many of us, this act is a symbol of faith, a reminder of submission, and a way to seek closeness to Allah.

But for those on the receiving end, Qurbani means something very different.

It means fresh meat finally reaches a family that hasn’t had a protein-filled meal for the entire year.

It means a child’s eyes light up when their plate is filled — not just with food, but with dignity.

It means that one simple act of worship brings hope, comfort, and joy to entire communities.

While we may never meet the people who receive our Qurbani, its impact is immediate and profound. It feeds the hungry, restores dignity to the forgotten, and reminds families living through crisis that they are not alone.

In Malawi, a boy breaks into laughter as he watches fresh Qurbani meat being cooked by his mother.

In Ethiopia, a mother is relieved that today, her children will eat meat, and for once, she won’t have to apologise for an empty plate.

In Palestine, families sit together and share a warm, protein-filled meal — a rare moment of ease during the conflict.

Everyone sacrifices something. Some of us give a share of our wealth. Others give an entire animal. And while the reward for our sacrifice may come later — in the Hereafter, in blessings we may not recognise — for those we serve, the reward comes today. It comes with every meal they enjoy. It comes with every smile they share.

This Dhul Hijjah, as you make the intention to give, know that your Qurbani will will reach mothers and families you may never see, and touch lives you may never know.

But, from within these blessed days, we want you to know: your Qurbani matters more than you can imagine.

Fulfil your sacrifice from £60.
